Role Overview

We are seeking a Grade 4 Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our Stockport Seat Cupra workshop, working alongside an experienced team consisting of 11 technicians and 3 apprentices. This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to progress through manufacturer-accredited training, including hybrid and electric vehicle specialization, under the guidance of our supportive Aftersales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough vehicle checks following manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues with proficiency.
• Carry out vehicle servicing as per manufacturer guidelines and customer instructions.
• Manage additional repair work authorized by customers.
• Execute warranty repairs in line with manufacturer protocols and ensure accurate documentation.
• Conduct road tests to confirm all repairs and service tasks have been successfully completed.
• Prepare and maintain all related paperwork to a professional standard.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience within the motor industry, whether in a dealership or independent garage.
• Full and valid UK driving license.
• Self-driven, ambitious, and eager to develop skills while contributing positively to the team.
• While brand-specific experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Previous exposure to diagnostics, MOT testing, and electric vehicles is preferred.

Work Hours and Compensation

The role involves 40 working hours weekly from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional one Saturday in every three shift from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Salary can reach up to £48,200 On-Target Earnings (OTE) with an uncapped structure, including a base salary up to £38,000 plus a £3,000 productivity bonus and additional Time Saved Bonus Scheme.
