Vehicle Readiness Specialist

Role Overview

As a Vehicle Readiness Specialist, you will be instrumental in preparing Tesla vehicles for delivery, ensuring each car meets top-tier quality standards. Your duties encompass detailed vehicle inspections, thorough cleaning and polishing with advanced techniques, and logistical operations such as vehicle parking and inventory management. This role demands seamless teamwork and frequent collaboration within sales, service, and delivery units to achieve company targets while contributing to outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive vehicle detailing procedures across all Tesla models, including wet sanding, buffing, polishing, and waxing.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, such as buffers, vacuums, and hoses, to fulfill cleaning and preparation duties.
• Conduct pre-delivery vehicle inspections checking warning indicators, interior states, tire tread conditions, and standard equipment presence.
• Support Certified Pre-Owned operations by performing in-depth vehicle evaluations, organizing on-site vehicle movements, capturing photographs, and readying vehicles for display or transport.
• Utilize proprietary software systems to accurately record vehicle conditions and submit necessary documentation.
• Ensure vehicles are fully prepared for delivery including installing license plate holders, customer accessories, and removing protective plastics.
• Oversee vehicle arrivals, inventory management across multiple locations, charge vehicles safely, and prepare automobiles for shipping with appropriate keys and paperwork.
• Maintain the upkeep and certification of job equipment by conducting routine inspections and necessary adjustments.
• Keep the work environment clean and organized, including vehicle relocations when required.
• Prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines without compromising quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members, management, delivery, service, and used-car departments to consistently provide superior customer service.
• Travel between various sites as needed to support operational demands.
• Perform additional duties that sustain business functionality as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Hands-on experience in vehicle detailing, especially in polishing, buffing, and final finishing of automobiles.
• Familiarity with detailing and workshop tools; knowledge of paintless dent repair is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities combined with excellent communication to clarify complex concepts.
• Proven capability to manage competing tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment with meticulous attention to vehicle condition and paperwork accuracy.
• A cooperative mindset with readiness to support colleagues and work towards shared objectives.
