Job description

Role Overview

Join our team as a Vehicle Field Inspector where every detail of a vehicle tells a story. Your expert eye will help identify scratches, dents, paint differences, and unusual noises, ensuring a comprehensive vehicle condition evaluation. This position involves visiting dealerships and logistics facilities, conducting thorough vehicle inspections, and documenting findings into reliable Vehicle Condition Reports. You will cultivate ongoing customer relationships and take pride in delivering accurate assessments every time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed vehicle inspections at dealerships, auction sites, and off-site locations.
  • Detect and document structural damage, frame and body alignment issues, paint quality, missing parts, and mechanical faults.
  • Follow industry best practices and internal protocols for inspections and reporting.
  • Build and maintain positive interactions with customers through repeated engagements.
  • Prioritize accuracy to reduce dispute occurrences.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards throughout all activities.
  • Occasionally move vehicles as directed, including starting and relocating them.
  • Complete other assigned tasks supporting business operations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old with dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license plus a clean driving record.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Preferably 1 to 3 years experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with innovative and resourceful approaches.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Familiarity with web-based software and automotive inspection tools is a plus.
  • Detail-focused, reliable, and committed to exceptional customer service.

Working Environment

  • Preparedness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional exposure to loud noises and chemicals.
