About the Role
E INC, the parent organization of EBlock and EDealer, aims to integrate automotive wholesale and retail experiences through their digital platforms. As a Vehicle Field Inspector, you will be responsible for performing detailed inspections on assigned vehicles, primarily at dealerships or occasionally at company facilities, and producing accurate Condition Reports reflecting their status. This role demands travel, meticulous attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles in various locations including dealerships, auction sites, and off-site venues.
- Identify and document structural damages, frame conditions, previous paint jobs or subpar paintwork, alignment issues with body panels, missing components, and mechanical faults.
- Apply training and industry standards, alongside management’s instructions, to carry out inspections and prepare associated documentation.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through consistent and effective communication to exceed expectations.
- Ensure high accuracy to reduce dispute incidents.
- Comply with all safety and health protocols during inspections.
- Occasionally locate, start, and move vehicles as instructed.
- Perform any other tasks necessary to support business operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be at least 21 years old with reliable personal transportation.
- Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferably 1 to 3 years of experience within the automotive sector.
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to address challenges innovatively.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment.
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Familiarity with web-based tools and automotive inspection technology is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to delivering superior customer service.
Work Environment
- Willing and able to work in varied weather conditions.
- Physical demands include bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Occasional exposure to loud sounds and chemical substances may occur.
