Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Detailer for a full-time position at our Brampton, Ontario location. This role is part of a production team responsible for executing OPENLANE's comprehensive five-step vehicle reconditioning process via the Vehicle Logistic Centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for auctions by fully executing the reconditioning procedures in compliance with company protocols and customer service agreements
- Perform a variety of detailing tasks including interior cleaning, upholstery shampooing, vinyl care, tar and decal removal, vacuuming, window cleaning, applying pre-wash, buffing, and conducting quality inspections
- Potential duties may include photographing and staging vehicles after detailing
- Inspect and verify the quality of work completed before vehicles proceed to subsequent stages of reconditioning
- Maintain a tidy and safe work area consistently
- Ensure proper operation and upkeep of detailing equipment and facilities, reporting malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
- Foster teamwork within the department
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols to ensure protection of employees and company property
- Report injuries, losses, or damages in accordance with company procedures
- Undertake additional related tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Completion of high school or equivalent education preferred
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driver’s abstract
- Successful criminal background check
- Familiarity with operating standard transmission vehicles is a plus
- Basic competence in computer and smartphone usage
- Demonstrated previous experience in automotive detailing
Preferred Experience
- Between one and three years of hands-on automotive detailing experience is advantageous
