About the Role
Paul Rigby Ltd seeks a dependable and detail-oriented Valeter to join their team in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. This role plays a vital part in upholding high vehicle presentation standards that enhance customer satisfaction and uphold the dealership's professional image.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and polish vehicles inside and out to meet company presentation criteria.
- Vacuum, shampoo, and condition vehicle interiors, including both fabric and leather surfaces.
- Carry out minor cosmetic repairs such as paint touch-ups and wheel cleaning under authorized training.
- Inspect vehicles for damages, report any inconsistencies, and adhere to safe handling guidelines.
- Prepare vehicles appropriately for customer pick-up, photographic purposes, and transportation.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment while ensuring the workspace is orderly and safe.
- Comply with environmental and waste disposal regulations related to valeting activities.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in vehicle valeting, detailing, or similar automotive roles.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to consistently high-quality work.
- Ability to efficiently manage time and work steadily across multiple vehicles.
- Basic understanding of cleaning agents and safe handling procedures.
- Physical ability to perform duties involving standing, bending, and lifting.
- Dependable attendance and a professional, customer-service-focused mindset.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience with machine polishing, paint correction, or ceramic coating application is a plus.
- Knowledge of dealership protocols and vehicle handover checklists.
- Possession of a valid driving license for moving vehicles onsite.
Qualifications
- While no formal qualifications are mandated, vocational training or certifications in vehicle valeting, detailing, or care are beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, permanent position offering an annual salary of £26,436.80.
