Valet Attendant - Halifax

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival to the property.
• Efficiently park and retrieve vehicles ensuring timely service.
• Operate vehicles safely within tight and restricted spaces.
• Conduct careful vehicle inspections for pre-existing damage before custody.
• Issue and collect valet tickets as needed.
• Safeguard vehicle keys by using a locked key box.
• Ensure vehicles are locked after parking.
• Maintain cleanliness of work and parking areas, perform key sanitization and litter removal.
• Provide directions and answer guest inquiries courteously.
• Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.
• Perform parking enforcement by monitoring compliance and addressing unauthorized parking as per company standards.
• Accurately handle guest transactions, including payment collection and ticket validation.

Customer Relations

• Develop and maintain positive customer interactions.
• Document and assist in resolving customer complaints by suggesting effective solutions.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers in English, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid Canadian Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Manual transmission driving skills are advantageous.
• Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating tact and professionalism.
• Prior experience in customer service; valet driving experience considered a plus.
• Strong work ethic with dedication to delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; uniform provided.
• At least three years of driving experience.
• Proficient in maneuvering vehicles safely in confined spaces without causing damage.
