Role Overview

We are searching for an experienced Senior UX/UI Designer who can proficiently manage component libraries and effectively communicate with stakeholders. This position acts as a vital bridge between design and engineering teams, focusing not only on aesthetics but also on practical implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the design system including its components, tokens, documentation, and governance to ensure scalability as products evolve.
• Develop comprehensive user experiences from initial concepts to exacting, pixel-level specifications for core products.
• Manage seamless developer handoffs by providing detailed annotations, specifying interaction states, edge cases, and responsive behaviors.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers to align standards and establish a common framework between design and code.
• Regularly audit component consistency, identify outdated elements, and phase out ineffective assets.
• Participate actively in design critiques, nurture a positive design culture, and mentor mid-level designers.
• Work alongside product managers and researchers to simplify complex financial workflows into trustworthy and intuitive user experiences.

Qualifications and Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, including a minimum of 2 years specializing in design system leadership or development.
• Extensive expertise in Figma, encompassing use of variables, auto layout, component architecture, and multi-brand theming.
• Demonstrated excellence in developer handover processes, with a clear understanding of engineers’ needs.
• Good comprehension of component development in code, able to communicate effectively with technical teams despite not necessarily coding.
• Background in designing interfaces for regulated or data-intensive environments such as fintech or banking is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional communication skills to clearly explain design choices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A portfolio showcasing both systemic design thinking and refined visual design abilities.
