Role Overview

The Junior Accountant will work closely with the CFO's team to support everyday accounting activities, tax compliance, and financial reporting duties. This role demands a highly organized individual with concrete experience in UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations to ensure accurate documentation, timely report submissions, and effective financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process and monitor daily transaction accounting.
• Generate journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, and develop supporting financial schedules.
• Administer the accounts payable and receivable functions effectively.
• Contribute to monthly and annual financial closing processes.
• Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations, promptly addressing inconsistencies.
• Compile and file VAT returns ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws.
• Assist with corporate tax duties including computation, documentation, and submission.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and audit documentation.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized accounting records.
• Collaborate across departments and with external parties as necessary.

Qualification Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification is required.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience within the UAE.
• Hands-on experience with UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance is essential.
• Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously and meet deadlines consistently.
• Experience with ERP and accounting platforms like QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or Oracle is advantageous.
• Prior involvement in supporting external audits is preferred.
