About the Role
We seek a UX / Product Designer to craft intuitive and reliable experiences for an AI-driven consumer product. This position emphasizes UX and product conceptualization more than visual design alone. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering to distill intricate AI features into natural and practical daily interactions. Strong fundamentals, curiosity, and eagerness to learn hold more value than years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive user experiences for iPhone and Apple Watch applications.
- Convert product concepts and user requirements into user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and refined interfaces.
- Simplify complex AI interactions including voice input, summaries, task extraction, search, personalized insights, and content management.
- Perform user research and usability testing to grasp user behavior and reveal opportunities for product enhancements.
- Investigate user ways to review, edit, organize, and engage with AI-generated content.
- Create transparent privacy policies, permissions, and onboarding processes to establish user trust.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams throughout early idea exploration to final implementation.
- Develop and maintain reusable design components and ensure consistent product experience.
- Leverage user feedback, product analytics, and user insights to continually enhance the product.
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of professional practice in Product Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in UX design, interaction design, information architecture, and user-centric methodologies.
- Proficient with Figma and capable of creating interactive prototypes.
- Ability to translate ambiguous product ideas into clear and applicable user experiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Curious, proactive, and quick learner.
- Adaptable to early-stage, fast-moving work environments.
- Effective communicator with capability to articulate design rationales.
- Portfolio demonstrating your design approach, process, and impact beyond just visual work.
Desirable Additional Experience
- Background in designing consumer mobile applications.
- Familiarity with AI-native products, productivity apps, voice-enabled products, wearables, or personal knowledge management tools.
- Experience conducting user research, usability studies, or behavioral data analysis.
- Understanding of design guidelines for iOS and watchOS platforms.
- Involvement in early-stage or zero-to-one product development.
