Position Overview

Join Sodexo as a Utility Worker at the META facility in New Albany, OH, where you will play a vital role in supporting kitchen and facility operations through maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across food production and service areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes manually or using dishwashing machines, ensuring all utensils and equipment are clean.
• Regularly clean and sanitize work surfaces such as tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks to uphold hygiene standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
• Remove trash and waste to designated disposal areas in a timely manner.
• Clean equipment utilizing specific chemicals to meet sanitation guidelines.
• Restock necessary supplies including soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, involving significant walking, standing for extended periods (often over eight hours), as well as reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and frequently lifting up to 35 pounds, occasionally handling loads up to 50 pounds.
• Attend all scheduled shifts punctually and maintain consistent attendance.
• Other duties as assigned, which may vary based on business needs and client specifications across different accounts.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a High School diploma, GED, or possess equivalent experience.
• No prior work experience is required for this role.
• Basic understanding of sanitation protocols and fundamental food safety concepts.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This full-time role primarily involves weekday morning shifts. Additional shift details will be provided during the interview process. The compensation rate is fixed at $20 per hour.
