Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a US GAAP Accountant to take ownership of technical accounting and financial reporting aligned with US GAAP standards. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise and operational discipline to ensure accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply US GAAP technical accounting standards effectively.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and related supporting documentation.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end closing processes for designated areas.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and detailed memos for complex transactions.
- Assist with external audit procedures, including preparing PBC schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis and operations teams to ensure precise financial reporting.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of four years’ experience in accounting adhering to US GAAP.
- CPA certification preferred or actively pursuing CPA designation.
- Thorough knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and equity transactions.
- Proficient in ERP platforms such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or equivalents.
- Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel and strong documentation practices.
- Experience with a Big 4 audit firm is advantageous.
