Urban Planner

Role Overview

The Urban Planner role involves analyzing patterns of urban expansion and neighborhood requirements, relating them to real estate market data to support strategic decisions.

Key Duties

• Conduct analysis of urban growth trends and link neighborhood demands with real estate market information.
• Assess spatial distribution of real estate supply and demand, highlighting service and land use deficiencies.
• Examine land use plans, master plans, and both current and upcoming projects to aid development choices.
• Collaborate with Data and GIS teams to create spatial maps and indicators.
• Generate reports and recommendations that guide strategies for real estate development.
• Analyze real estate market metrics, such as pricing, occupancy rates, sales, and rental trends.
• Provide regular reports that assist in making informed real estate growth and development decisions.
• Work with various internal and external parties to update and maintain real estate databases.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or closely related discipline.
• At least two years’ professional experience in relevant domains.
• Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and their application.
• Understanding of real estate market dynamics including supply and demand concepts.
• Expertise in urban planning principles and thorough land-use analysis capabilities.
• Strong analytical mindset with proficient skills in interpreting data and reporting findings.
• Competence in creating spatial maps and relevant urban planning indicators.
