Turbine Specialist

Daily Responsibilities

As a Turbine Specialist, you will engage in advanced field service operations on gas turbines, encompassing maintenance, detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues directly at customer locations. Your role will involve proactively identifying and managing intricate operational challenges to guarantee safe, reliable, and high-performance turbine operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification activities on large gas and steam turbines along with related equipment at client sites within Saudi Arabia and internationally.
• Collaborate extensively with Field Service Shift Leads and Engineers to ensure all tasks align with Siemens Energy's quality benchmarks, environmental health and safety (EHS) protocols, and project documentation standards.
• Analyze and utilize mechanical drawings, technical schematics, OEM guidelines, and work instructions to accurately perform complex field service procedures.
• Oversee subcontractors, maintaining stringent quality, safety, and workmanship standards during maintenance and outage operations.
• Lead and actively participate in safety initiatives, including ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment, conducting risk assessments, facilitating pre-job safety briefings, and fostering a robust safety culture in environments involving high-risk tasks.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering combined with practical experience on Advanced Frame Gas Turbines.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical skills and familiarity with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, and torque wrenches.
• Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and OEM documentation while strictly following Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) guidelines.
• Certified or trained for Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights, exhibiting a strong commitment to safety protocols.
• Willing to undertake significant travel commitments (approximately 80%, equating to 200-250 days annually) and adapt to challenging international deployment schedules, fluency in English is essential.
