Manufacturing Assembly Technician - Transformer

Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Assembly Technician at Siemens Energy in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, you will be actively engaged in the hands-on assembly and production phases of the transformer manufacturing process. Your contribution to assembling high-quality transformers will directly support Siemens Energy's mission to provide dependable energy solutions globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out active-part drying operations in strict accordance with standard working instructions while continuously monitoring related process data.
• Prepare transformer tanks by assembling specified accessories following detailed drawings and conducting thorough self-inspections to ensure all quality criteria are met.
• Perform installation tasks during the active part tanking process, including tightening and fitting components in line with design specifications.
• Manage vacuum and oil filling processes by operating relevant equipment, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting any operational issues encountered.
• Disassemble transformers after testing phases, ready accessories for dispatch, and guarantee correct packaging and storage procedures are followed.
• Adhere to stringent safety protocols, quality standards, and 5S workplace management principles to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum educational requirement: high school diploma or vocational/technical certificate; additional technical training in electrical or mechanical fields is highly valued.
• Previous experience working in transformer manufacturing or in the production of heavy electrical equipment is considered a plus.
• Capable of working effectively in physically demanding production settings and willing to participate in shift-based schedules.
• Basic communication skills in both English and Arabic are preferred to facilitate effective team interaction.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong dedication to maintaining quality standards across all assigned tasks.
• A proactive mindset regarding problem identification and equipment upkeep, helping to improve overall team effectiveness.
