Truck Inspector

About the Role

Sunda International is seeking a skilled Truck Inspector to join the Transportation department at the Igbesa location in Ogun State. This full-time role involves inspecting both company-owned and dispatched commercial, heavy-duty trucks. The purpose is to verify that these vehicles comply with safety legislation, environmental requirements, and proper maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine mechanical parts including brakes, tyres, and lights for safety and functionality.
• Review and assess driver logs for compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare reports documenting whether vehicles pass or fail inspections.
• Prevent unsafe trucks from accessing loading areas or public roads.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• OND, HND, BSc degree or equivalent qualification.
• Comprehensive knowledge of heavy-duty truck mechanics and automotive systems.
• Familiar with state, regional, and federal transportation safety regulations.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for vehicle testing.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be physically capable of handling equipment and inspecting under vehicles.
