Role Overview

The Travel Risk Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of employees during travel by integrating security intelligence with operational responses. This position involves evaluating travel destinations, supporting travelers, and managing coordinated responses during incidents.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate risk at the country and city level for upcoming travel plans.
Develop and maintain travel risk protocols, including policies, briefings, and travel approval processes.
Oversee relationships with travel risk vendors such as security, medical, and evacuation service providers.
Lead coordination of responses to traveler incidents, including medical and security emergencies.
Conduct training sessions and pre-trip briefings for employees traveling to high-risk areas.
Collaborate closely with travel, security, and HR departments to ensure an integrated approach to traveler safety.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of four years’ experience in travel risk management, corporate security, or related operational functions.
Comprehensive understanding of geopolitical, security, and health risk assessment frameworks.
Experience using prominent travel risk management platforms such as International SOS, Crisis24, or WorldAware.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to remain composed and methodical during high-pressure situations.
Capability to coordinate operational efforts across multiple time zones during incidents.
