Job description

Position Overview

Join Lee Memorial Hospital as a Transporter to deliver patient transportation services across all departments. This full-time onsite role is based at 2776 Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers, FL, supporting hospital operations during the 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shift.

Primary Duties

  • Safely convey patients to and from various hospital departments as assigned by Transport lead or supervisor.
  • Assist patients in transitioning between wheelchairs, beds, and other mobility aids as needed.
  • Accurately document and communicate patient information for systems like EPIC and Hall Pass, confirming two forms of patient ID before transport.
  • Provide support to interdisciplinary teams when not engaged in patient transport activities.
  • Maintain the hospital environment's appearance by following established procedures.
  • Collaborate with various hospital teams to improve patient flow and perform additional tasks as requested.
  • Engage professionally with all customers to support hospital operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; less than high school not acceptable.
  • Experience: No prior experience necessary.
  • Licensure: No state license required.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory and must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.

Compensation and Working Hours

The position offers an hourly pay range between $20.00 and $23.50. Work is scheduled full-time during the first shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Lee Memorial Hospital.
