Transportation Specialist

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Transportation Specialist skilled in coordinating appropriate trucks and vehicles to meet client requests. This role requires direct interaction with carriers and logistics service providers throughout Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapidly allocate trucks based on shipment type and route.
• Collaborate with truck owners and carriers while negotiating transportation rates.
• Secure competitive freight pricing to ensure a profitable margin.
• Monitor drivers and shipments from loading through to delivery.
• Develop and expand a comprehensive database of carriers and suppliers.
• Arrange transport trucks for container shipments from ports.
• Handle various truck types including flatbeds, curtain-sided, refrigerated, box trucks, and trailers.
• Resolve operational issues and delays occurring during transportation processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience coordinating land transportation within Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
• Established network of direct contacts with carriers and truck owners.
• Strong familiarity with transport routes and pricing structures.
• Ability to promptly allocate transport vehicles as needed.
• Advanced negotiation and follow-up skills.
• Preference given to candidates experienced in container transport from Jeddah Islamic Port.
• Demonstrated reliability, commitment, and ability to handle work pressure.
