About the Role

DHL Supply Chain, the world’s leading logistics company, is seeking a Transport Planner based in Tamworth, England. This full-time permanent position offers a salary of £36,050 per year at Grade RCS N, working Monday to Friday for 37.5 hours per week. The Transport Planner plays a crucial role in continuously enhancing transport planning processes within the department to ensure efficient and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective transport plans that optimize delivery efficiency and profitability.
  • Achieve network Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and surpass customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Utilize transport management systems to build loads, design routes, and allocate vehicles, trailers, and driver resources within required planning deadlines.
  • Provide real-time monitoring to confirm tasks are completed within established timeframes.

Candidate Profile

  • Prior experience in transport planning is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Driver Regulations and the Working Time Directive.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a logical and analytical mindset.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
