Job description
Client Engagement and Development
- Provide meaningful engagement, instruction, supervision, and development to clients to help them function independently across various skills.
- Focus areas include daily living activities, home skills, community mobility, social and recreational skills, and work readiness.
Client/Trainee Management and Development
- Design and implement Individual Learning Programmes (ILP) based on professional assessments.
- Continuously assess, train, and evaluate trainees for holistic progress.
- Organize and conduct suitable group activities.
- Oversee and enforce safety and security procedures for trainees.
Support for Allied Health Professionals
- Implement and monitor programs related to health fitness, wellness, motivational and behavioral management, and sensory awareness designed by allied health specialists.
- Convey crucial information to social workers and center management.
Administrative and Operational Duties
- Assist with unit operations and logistical management.
- Guarantee the safety of both the center and trainees.
- Maintain accurate records of clients’ attendance and participation in various activities using client management platforms.
- Conduct dialogue sessions with caregivers, perform home visits, and foster strong communication with parents/caregivers.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
Event Management Responsibilities
- Manage or support tasks related to camps, festive celebrations, sports events, first aid, evacuation planning, transport duties, and staff welfare.
- Coordinate both internal and external events and activities for trainees.
- Support volunteer engagement and public education initiatives, as well as organization-wide MINDS events.
Qualifications
- Minimum O-level qualification.
- Certificates such as NITEC in Community Care & Social Services (ITE), Special Needs Education (MOE), or diplomas in Special Education, Disability Studies, or Community Services (SSI).
Additional Information
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication capabilities.
- Demonstrated passion and patience for working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
