Job description
Overview
The Manager of Community Partnerships will spearhead MINDS' outreach to community partners such as schools, non-profits, and individuals, while leading efforts to meet annual fundraising goals. This role also involves supporting Social & Community Engagement (SCE) events and activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and deepen collaborations with community stakeholders across volunteering, donations, social enterprises, and inclusive employment sectors.
- Work closely with internal teams to attract, engage, and retain volunteers and to drive fundraising aligned with organizational targets.
- Lead the Volunteer Coordinator (VC) Circle to foster team collaboration, enhance morale, and cultivate a positive organizational culture.
- Arrange regular meetings and Communities of Practice sessions to facilitate knowledge exchange and promote best practices in partnerships and volunteer management.
- Coordinate monthly meetings among SCE, Cluster Engagement, and Social Enterprises teams to ensure cohesive partnership management.
- Create marketing materials including electronic direct mails, volunteer opportunity notices on third-party platforms, and updates on the MINDS website to engage volunteers effectively.
- Design and present tokens of appreciation for partners biennially to acknowledge their support.
- Organize the biennial MINDS Volunteer and Donor Appreciation Day and represent the organization at major community events such as the Purple Parade.
- Support various departmental events and activities.
- Drive fundraising initiatives by encouraging donations and managing campaigns like the Colors of Inclusivity.
- Innovate to access new donor platforms and establish further collaborative fundraising partnerships.
- Develop strategies to expand the recurring individual donor base and enhance donation results.
- Assist the department director in budget management and preparation of reports for senior leaders and the board.
- Lead and mentor a team of executives to meet departmental goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Project Management, Social Work and Community Development, Human Resources, Mass Communications, Marketing, or related fields.
- A minimum of five years in a managerial role, preferably in corporate public relations, marketing communications, or social service project management.
- Strong skills in project management and event coordination.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant software tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
