Key Responsibilities
- Develop and conduct training sessions on metal 3D printing technologies such as Directed Energy Deposition (DED), Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF), and Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) aimed at engineers, technicians, and equipment operators.
- Lead projects encompassing the entire production chain for 3D-printed components—from design for additive manufacturing (DfAM), preparation of print files, through to post-processing and quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance of 3D-printed parts with industry standards including API 20S, DNV B203, and AS9100.
- Enhance supply chain efficiency by devising digital inventory management strategies to lower production lead times and costs.
- Implement cutting-edge additive manufacturing systems tailored for fabricating high-performance alloy components.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, and operations to create and uphold standard operating procedures and certification processes.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 7 years practical experience in metal additive manufacturing techniques.
- Industry experience in energy, oil & gas, aerospace, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Expertise in DED, LPBF, and WAAM methods.
- Extensive knowledge working with nickel-based alloys such as Inconel, titanium, and advanced polymers.
- Demonstrated capability to design training curricula and evaluate trainees' competencies.
- Familiarity with quality and certification standards like API 20S, DNV B203, or AS9100 is preferred.
- Strong skills in metrology and quality control technologies including 3D scanning and CT inspection.
- Experience managing financial aspects of additive manufacturing projects including capital and operational expenditures, with ability to prepare business cases for technology adoption.
