Originating in late 2015 as an intern project, Jump Crypto has expanded into a skilled, high-performing team that contributes significantly to major and innovative crypto communities.
This division operates within Jump Trading Group, a research-focused quantitative trading firm recognized as one of the largest volume traders in traditional asset classes.
Role Overview
As a Trader, you will join a dynamic team engaged in researching, interpreting, and exploiting global trading opportunities within crypto markets. The role offers a chance to apply and develop quantitative trading skills, contributing to a collaborative team environment. Traders work four days per week (options: Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday) participating in this continuously active asset class.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop familiarity with and adapt to various business functions beyond trading to align with organizational priorities.
- Execute trading strategies competently.
- Oversee trading positions and collaborate with clearing and operations teams to resolve trades and position discrepancies during shifts.
- Develop and sustain a DevOps toolkit supporting the production trading system, including tasks like configuration and process management, deployment, monitoring, data gathering, and analysis.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting production trading and enhance trading desk processes.
- Learn and engage with quantitative trading efforts, exchange setups, and any other trading-related domains.
- Take ownership of team-wide projects that extend beyond daily trading responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Interest in cryptocurrencies with knowledge of various currencies and exchanges preferred.
- Comfortable coding in Python; able to write and understand simple to moderate scripts.
- Experience working within a Linux operating environment.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced setting successfully.
- Fluent in English communication, both written and verbal.
- Proven sound judgment and decision-making discretion.
- Inclination and aptitude for collaboration within a team setting.
- Minimum of three years of trading experience.
- Consistent and reliable availability for work shifts.
