Role Overview
Each trading team includes traders, quantitative researchers, and engineers who analyze global markets, exploring the complexities of traded products and exchanges. Their work relies heavily on sophisticated statistical analyses and data mining to build forecasts and profitable trading models.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate extensive datasets to uncover patterns and insights into financial market complexities.
- Apply advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and data engineering skills to inform predictive trading models and forecasts.
- Collaborate closely with scientists, traders, developers, and business teams to refine and implement innovative ideas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Creative and driven problem solver, highly motivated and capable of addressing complex challenges.
- Demonstrated track record of profitable trading strategies.
- Strong proficiency in C++ programming within Linux systems.
- Experience with forecasting and data mining technologies, including linear and nonlinear regression, neural networks, and support vector machines.
- Extensive experience building statistical models in trading environments.
- Proven ability to manage and analyze large datasets effectively.
- A passion for advancing machine learning applications in trading.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or Matlab and related development tools to support research initiatives.
- Master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, or relevant disciplines.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Consistent and dependable availability.
