About the Role
A leading global quantitative trading firm in Singapore seeks a Trade Support Engineer / Trading Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its systematic trading team. This position is not a conventional back-office role but works closely with Quantitative Traders and Software Developers to observe active automated trading strategies, resolve production problems, and enhance the trading ecosystem with automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee live automated trading strategies and trading activities.
- Collaborate with Quants and Developers to diagnose and resolve trading and production issues.
- Monitor risk metrics, unusual market conditions, and system-wide performance.
- Examine trade and market data to pinpoint problems and recommend enhancements.
- Develop Python-based scripts and tools to streamline monitoring and support workflows.
- Conduct troubleshooting across electronic trading platforms and systems.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Trade Support, Trading Operations, Trade Monitoring, or Front-Office Production Support.
- Familiarity with electronic or algorithmic trading.
- Knowledge of futures contracts, trading venues, and market structures.
- Proficient in Python scripting and automation techniques.
- Comfortable working in Linux or UNIX environments.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Degree holder in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
