About the Role
A shipping firm is growing and looking to add a Trade Operations Executive to their team to support chemical trading operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in executing chemical trade deals while managing daily operational tasks.
- Liaise with traders, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to coordinate shipments and delivery logistics.
- Track shipment timelines, cargo statuses, and delivery progress.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain trade and shipping paperwork such as contracts, invoices, Bills of Lading, and certificates.
- Support documentation relating to Letters of Credit (L/C), monitor payment processes, and handle other trade finance activities.
- Keep comprehensive and accurate trade records by updating internal systems.
- Follow up on pending documents, outstanding payments, and operational concerns to ensure timely resolution.
- Organize and maintain proper filing systems for trade and company documentation, aiding in basic office management tasks.
- Generate and update Excel-based reports, spreadsheets, and relevant records.
- Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is conscientious and detail-focused, capable of supporting the daily functions involved in chemical trading operations. Collaboration with various internal and external teams is essential to ensure seamless trade execution and documentation completeness. While prior experience in trade operations, shipping, logistics, or chemical trading is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
