Overview

A thriving opportunity is available for a motivated and commercially focused Trade Centre Supervisor to join the team at the Avondale Trade Centre. Reporting directly to the Trade Centre Manager, this role is essential for branch success by fostering exceptional customer experiences, spotting sales growth possibilities, and driving strong commercial results. It is a hands-on position involving close collaboration with team members, clients, and internal partners, offering leadership skill development for future advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Trade Centre Manager in reaching and exceeding branch sales goals, KPIs, and budgetary targets.
  • Discover and act upon opportunities to boost sales, enhance customer engagement, and improve overall branch outcomes.
  • Lead through example by providing exceptional customer service and fostering robust customer bonds.
  • Drive positive results via collaboration, showing initiative, and adopting solution-oriented methods.
  • Manage daily branch operations ensuring timely and precise delivery of customer needs.
  • Support inventory management efforts including stock control, stock takes, and handling inwards goods.
  • Aid branch administrative tasks such as invoicing, banking, stock receipts, purchase orders, credit processing, and point-of-sale activities.
  • Ensure health, safety, and presentation standards of the branch are consistently maintained.
  • Perform manual handling duties and assist with operational tasks as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and other internal stakeholders to maximize customer opportunities and foster branch growth.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is results-oriented, passionate about customer success, and naturally inquisitive with a proactive mindset. Though formal leadership experience is not mandatory, this individual is looked upon by peers for guidance, encouragement, and positive influence.

Ideal Qualifications and Skills

  • Background in retail, trade sales, customer service, or similar customer-facing roles.
  • Commercially minded with enthusiasm to drive sales and elevate branch performance.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Confidence in meeting sales, operational, and financial targets.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to influence others positively through conduct and dedication.
  • Proactive, hands-on attitude capable of managing manual handling tasks.
  • Effective communication skills paired with a positive, can-do demeanor.
  • Experience in industrial products, PPE, engineering supplies, or tools is advantageous but not essential; full training provided.

Working Schedule

The role entails working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional rostered Saturdays, providing a dynamic combination of customer interaction, operational duties, and commercial responsibility.
