Trade Assistant

Position Overview

As a Trade Assistant, you will gain extensive knowledge about installation and repair procedures, as well as insights into factory operations. Your duties will involve the installation and maintenance of industrial doors, garage roller doors, panel doors, automatic and gate openers, and other specialized products, primarily at customer sites.

Main Duties

• Support factory operations including stock loading, unloading, and dispatching.
• Assist in installing and servicing a variety of door products.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and support.
• Offer advice to both existing clients and new customers.
• Travel to various building sites as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid C Class Driver Licence.
• Proficiency in using multiple power tools.
• Physical stamina and agility to complete manual tasks.
• Previous experience working in construction or a similar environment.
• Effective communication and customer service abilities.
• Capability to collaborate well within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift licence and experience operating forklifts.
• Elevating Work Platform (EWP) licence and/or associated operational experience.
• White Construction Card accreditation.
• A passion for practical and hands-on work.
• Enjoyment of traveling to and working across multiple sites.
