Job description
Role Overview
Join a distinguished boutique planning and development consultancy located in the Manchester Area, where immediate ownership of projects is encouraged. Working closely within a compact, approachable team alongside respected directors, you'll deepen your practical expertise and expand your knowledge in town planning within a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment where all contributions are valued.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in a variety of planning projects such as site promotions, planning applications, and appeals processes.
- Prepare and critically review essential planning documents, including Planning Statements and detailed technical reports.
- Conduct site inspections and coordinate multidisciplinary team inputs to drive projects forward.
- Oversee project budgets and manage invoicing tasks accordingly.
- Communicate and build relationships with Planning Officers, statutory consultees, and other expert consultants.
- Offer pragmatic planning advice to clients while also mentoring colleagues to nurture their development.
- Cultivate strong client partnerships and actively participate in business growth initiatives.
- Represent the company at professional, networking, and industry-specific events.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of relevant experience in town planning.
- Sound knowledge of the UK planning regulatory framework.
- Hold a degree or higher qualification in Town Planning or a closely related discipline.
- Possess a full driving license.
