Tooling Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for a proficient Tooling Maintenance Technician responsible for the upkeep, repair, and enhancement of tooling assets such as jigs, fixtures, moulds, and CNC tools. This position plays a vital part in ensuring smooth manufacturing workflows and delivering superior quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on tooling, fixtures, and CNC machinery
• Assist with the installation and setup of new tooling for product launches
• Identify and troubleshoot tooling malfunctions and apply corrective measures
• Operate equipment including lathes, milling machines, and CNC systems
• Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to optimize tooling performance
• Track and evaluate tooling functionality and provide status updates
• Mentor junior technicians and disseminate technical knowledge

Candidate Requirements

• Proven background in toolmaking, preferably with experience in composites
• Demonstrated practical skills for diagnosing and resolving problems
• Experience working under production pressures and meeting strict deadlines
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies
• Ability to interpret and work from technical schematics and blueprints
• Hands-on experience operating various machining instruments and tools
