About Frontier Touring
Frontier Touring, a part of the Mushroom Group, has been a prominent concert promoter in Australia and New Zealand since 1979. Renowned for its dedication, it supports artists from their early days through to major live events, organising tours ranging from intimate club shows to large stadium concerts. Some iconic artists promoted include Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran, The Rolling Stones, and many more.
Role Overview
The Ticketing Operations Coordinator position is based in either Melbourne or Sydney, with a hybrid work schedule requiring office attendance three days per week. The person in this role will liaise with Promoters and Tour Operations teams, managing ticketing functions, venue coordination, and supporting larger shows and festivals as needed. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong numerical skills, excellent organisation, and experience with ticketing systems focused on inventory management and ticket builds (not event scanning or box office work).
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and compile essential event details needed for ticket configuration.
- Coordinate ticket builds collaboratively with venues and ticketing providers.
- Plan sales launch timelines and oversee the ticket sale processes.
- Manage ticket allocation, keeping accurate records and sharing timely sales updates.
- Handle complimentary tickets and guest list processing efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date databases related to tours, venues, and ticketing information.
- Collaborate across departments such as marketing and production when necessary.
- Support Promoter and Tour Operations managers in ticket pricing and scaling tasks.
- Assist with VIP package execution.
- Provide box office support during shows or festival days when required.
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience and Skills Required
- At least two years of experience in a ticketing-related role focusing on system and inventory management.
- Competency with standard computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities, adept in managing files, archives, and spreadsheets.
- Proven ability to function effectively under pressure, juggling competing priorities and strict deadlines.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively with a sharp eye for detail.
- Preferred qualities include professional appearance, amicable personality, strong communication (written and verbal), excellent relationship management, passion for live music and entertainment, and proactive problem-solving skills.
Additional Information
This role suits individuals who thrive in dynamic, creative, and fast-paced environments and enjoy working closely within a team. Applicants must have permanent working rights in Australia to be eligible. The company requests candidates to submit a cover letter detailing why they are interested in the role, salary expectations, any planned annual leave in the next year, and must answer what their favorite live concert was and why, reflecting the role's emphasis on attention to detail. Applications will be reviewed promptly as submitted.
