Testing Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Test Lead to guide testing initiatives from the very beginning to their successful conclusion. This position demands close interaction with stakeholders, hands-on testing expertise, and the capability to establish comprehensive testing frameworks and governance protocols from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Develop and roll out testing strategies, detailed plans, and governance standards from scratch.
• Lead comprehensive testing efforts spanning hardware, software, and integrations.
• Oversee all testing phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression, performance, and device certification.
• Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and technical teams to guarantee thorough test coverage and alignment.
• Create traceability linking business requirements with test cases.
• Manage the defect lifecycle with thorough reporting and ensure defects are resolved promptly.
• Deliver transparent test reports, quality metrics, and readiness assessments for go-live events.
• Handle communication with stakeholders, manage risks, dependencies, and maintain testing schedules.
• Provide support for production deployment and conduct post-deployment validations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Test Lead or QA Lead with end-to-end testing delivery.
• Familiarity with POS devices or POS system implementations is advantageous but not necessarily required.
• Strong grasp of test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery models.
• Exceptional skills in stakeholder communication and management, capable of working with both technical teams and business executives.
• Proven analytical prowess with strong problem-solving and risk management abilities.

Eligibility and Location Requirements

This position requires applicants to have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand and be willing to relocate to Queenstown.
