Job description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Technical Business Analyst to join an established organisation based in Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand. This role focuses on managing a diverse range of technology and business transformation projects, particularly those related to system integration. Over time, the position will expand to encompass broader technology improvements and process redesign.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the collection and analysis of requirements for technology and business change projects.
- Conduct workshops to translate business demands into precise requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate existing and desired business processes to determine gaps, dependencies, and impacts.
- Support projects involving system integrations, APIs, interfaces, and data exchange.
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, testers, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
- Keep requirements up to date throughout the phases of design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Assist in solution validation, including user acceptance testing and ensuring business preparedness.
- Adapt to a variety of projects as priorities evolve within the organisation.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of five years' professional experience in business analysis, preferably in senior or technical roles.
- Proven expertise in requirements gathering, process evaluation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated experience working on integration, application, or technological change assignments.
- Solid grasp of APIs, interfaces, system communications, and data flows.
- Strong skills facilitating workshops and clear communication with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with Agile, iterative, or hybrid project methodologies.
- Bonus: Knowledge of data mapping, database technologies, or SQL.
- Possession of recognized business analyst credentials, such as IIBA certification or CBAP, is preferred.
