Overview
Tushar Trans Equipment Pvt. Ltd., a company specializing in electrical instrument transformer manufacturing, seeks a proficient Testing Engineer focused on Current Transformers (CT) and Potential Transformers (PT). This role requires expertise to conduct electrical testing aligning with IS/IEC standards and internal quality protocols.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute routine electrical tests on CTs and PTs following approved procedures.
- Perform ratio, polarity, insulation resistance (IR), winding resistance, excitation, and knee-point tests as relevant.
- Conduct accuracy and burden testing utilizing specialized equipment.
- Administer power-frequency withstand voltage and dielectric tests compliant with applicable norms.
- Validate nameplate information, terminal markings, wiring setups, and ensure adherence to test specifications.
- Operate and maintain electrical testing instruments efficiently.
- Generate detailed test reports and maintain accurate testing documentation.
- Detect test failures, perform root cause analyses, and collaborate with production and quality teams to implement corrective measures.
- Adhere strictly to electrical safety practices throughout testing operations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 1 to 2 years experience in electrical testing, ideally within CT/PT or related instrument transformer manufacturing domains.
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical measurements, transformer operations, and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with electrical testing devices and test documentation procedures.
- Understanding of IS/IEC standards relevant to the field is advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting aptitude, organized documentation skills, and effective communication capabilities.
Preferred Competencies
- Hands-on experience with CT/PT testing and accuracy classifications.
- Capability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Awareness of quality assurance processes and electrical safety standards.
- Ability to operate autonomously and coordinate with multiple teams for quality improvement.
