Overview

The Territory Service Representative (TSR) in Operations at Blue Dart is responsible for executing timely and accurate pickup and delivery of shipments within an allocated area, while ensuring exceptional customer service and representing the Blue Dart brand professionally. This role involves close coordination with shift in-charges and operations teams to uphold service standards, safety, and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out pickups and deliveries of shipments promptly within assigned routes, ensuring adherence to service timelines.
  • Verify shipment details prior to handling, ensuring safe handling to prevent damage or loss.
  • Maintain high productivity and efficiency on delivery routes.
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting courteously and addressing routine queries; escalate issues as needed.
  • Manage Cash on Delivery (COD) accurately, ensuring timely and precise remittance, while also securing valid proof of delivery (POD) and documentation compliance.
  • Utilize handheld or digital scanning devices to update shipment status in real time, following all standard operating procedures.
  • Adhere to road safety regulations and maintain security of shipments throughout transit, including appropriate uniform use and personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain vehicles or personal two-wheelers assigned for duties, ensuring roadworthiness, valid documentation, cleanliness, and timely reporting of maintenance needs.
  • Exhibit discipline, punctuality, professional appearance, and abide by company policies while positively representing the Blue Dart brand.
  • Collaborate with team members and support operational needs during peak or contingency periods.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Minimum educational requirement is passing the 10th grade; higher education is advantageous.
  • Candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience in courier, logistics, distribution, retail delivery, or field operations are eligible; experience in pickup and delivery is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old, physically fit for fieldwork, and possess a valid driving license for two-wheelers or four-wheelers.
  • Ownership of a two-wheeler is required when deployment needs personal vehicle use, following company policy.
  • Willingness to work shifts including weekends and holidays is necessary.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in pickup and delivery logistics and shipment handling.
  • Experience in cash handling related to COD collections and documentation management.
  • Competency in utilizing mobile scanning devices and basic computer/mobile apps.
  • Basic ability to read and understand English instructions.
  • Strong customer focus, integrity, reliability, teamwork, safety awareness, and professionalism.
  • Effective time management, accountability, and positive attitude.
