Role Summary
The Territory Service Representative (TSR) in operations ensures efficient and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments within an assigned area. This role serves as the frontline representative of Blue Dart, maintaining high standards in customer service, shipment safety, and operational compliance while collaborating closely with the Shift In-charge and branch teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct prompt pickup and delivery of customer shipments adhering to set timelines.
- Carefully verify and handle shipments to prevent damage or misplacement.
- Maintain effective route management and delivery productivity.
- Exemplify professionalism and courteousness, addressing basic customer inquiries and escalating concerns as necessary.
- Collect Cash on Delivery payments accurately and manage necessary documentation including Proof of Delivery and shipment acknowledgements.
- Accurately scan shipments and update status in real-time using handheld devices.
- Comply with Standard Operating Procedures, company policies, and safety guidelines consistently.
- Ensure vehicle upkeep, valid documentation, and cleanliness to support operational readiness.
- Wear company uniform and protective equipment, uphold personal grooming and workplace discipline.
- Collaborate effectively during operational peak periods and support team initiatives and safety meetings.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum education of 10th standard pass; additional education is advantageous.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience in logistics, courier, retail delivery, or field operations preferred.
- Possession of a valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
- Ownership of a two-wheeler where personal vehicle deployment is necessary as per company policy.
- Physical fitness suitable for field duties.
- Willingness to work shifts including weekends and public holidays based on operational demands.
Required Skills
- Expertise in pickup and delivery logistics.
- Capability in handling shipments carefully.
- Proficient in managing Cash on Delivery processes.
- Competence in producing and managing Proof of Delivery documentation.
- Experience using mobile scanning devices or digital platforms for shipment tracking.
Additional Information
Travel requirement is approximately 75% as part of the role. The TSR operates from the Branch or Service Centre location but may be expected to travel extensively within the designated territory. The role demands adherence to safety norms, punctuality, professionalism, and effective representation of the Blue Dart brand at all times.
