Job description
Overview
As a Territory Manager for Indorailbus Travel Private Limited based in Chennai, you will oversee comprehensive operational activities across the bus depots and transit hubs within your assigned area. Your leadership will focus on enhancing passenger satisfaction, maintaining operational standards, handling finances, supporting team performance, and managing day-to-day field execution, combined with the flexibility to travel frequently within the territory.
Passenger Experience and Quality Control
- Regularly assess customer feedback, reviews, and complaint reports to implement effective service improvements.
- Ensure cleanliness, availability of amenities such as WiFi and air conditioning, comfortable seating, and strict safety compliance throughout the fleet.
- Collaborate with depot and crew staff to uphold exemplary customer service standards.
Financial Management and Team Leadership
- Oversee operational financials including budget management, toll costs, and maintenance expenditure.
- Lead and mentor field supervisors, depot managers, and operations personnel, driving performance and growth.
- Produce insightful weekly and monthly reports for senior executives, highlighting operational performance and strategic growth opportunities.
Work Environment and Travel Requirements
- Balance office-based strategic responsibilities with frequent on-site visits to bus depots, terminals, and major transit locations within the region.
- Comfortable and prepared for consistent local travel to support operational oversight.
Team Development and Conduct
- Guide and inspire field teams to achieve high standards aligned with company goals.
- Enforce strict personal grooming, uniform, and professional behavior guidelines across all teams.
- Conduct regular team meetings, safety audits, and performance evaluations to promote continuous improvement and adherence to discipline.
- Facilitate training sessions and onboarding for new staff members, enhancing their technical and professional abilities.
Operational Oversight and Problem Resolution
- Manage daily field operations ensuring timely, safe, and budget-compliant project execution.
- Monitor quality assurance standards and guarantee compliance with company expectations.
- Coordinate logistics and task assignments among field personnel to optimize resource use.
- Act as the primary escalation contact for on-site issues, promptly resolving emergencies, client complaints, and internal conflicts to prevent project delays.
- Report significant incidents, perform root cause analysis, and communicate solutions to senior leadership.
