About Suntory Oceania
Suntory Oceania combines the best from Suntory's Australian and New Zealand operations to form a multi-beverage powerhouse operating across Oceania, featuring over 40 leading brands such as Jim Beam®, Maker's Mark® Bourbon, Hibiki® Japanese Whisky, Canadian Club® Whisky, -196, V Energy, Maximus, and Suntory BOSS Coffee. The company operates five distribution centers, two manufacturing sites, and has a workforce of over 1,500 employees, managing its portfolio with full end-to-end control while pioneering innovative and crafted beverage experiences.
Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a Territory Manager to join our sales team focused on managing On-The-Go (Route) and Grocery accounts within the Whakatane and surrounding areas of Bay of Plenty. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing customers within your designated territory.
As a Territory Manager, you will be a central driver in the retail/FMCG business, requiring a Gemba-focused mindset to actively engage with customers, understand their needs, and support mutual business growth. This is a role suited for a motivated individual with ambition, resilience, and a strong work ethic, willing to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is self-driven and results-oriented with the capability to work independently in the field. Strong multitasking and stress management skills are essential, coupled with a personable, friendly, and approachable demeanor. You should be adept at building and nurturing strong relationships, passionate about working with renowned brands, and comfortable analyzing sales data to guide business decisions involving customer success and new product development.
A full driving license is mandatory as travel is integral to the role, and you will be provided with a company vehicle to facilitate your territory coverage.
We welcome applicants who may not be experts in every area but who align with our company values and bring unique strengths or "superpowers" that will contribute to our team.
Benefits and Employee Support
- Career advancement opportunities with a strong focus on internal promotion and global learning and development programs.
- Competitive incentive schemes recognizing your performance.
- An inclusive parental leave policy supporting both primary and secondary caregivers.
- Flexible return-to-work arrangements for employees following parental leave.
- Provision of tools of trade, including a company vehicle.
- Complimentary life insurance and discounted health insurance plans.
- Volunteering leave to support local communities.

Recruitment and selection processes emphasize employer offerings while providing candidates opportunities to showcase unique contributions. We promote inclusivity through accessible interview accommodations and encourage all individuals, regardless of protected characteristics, to apply. Our mission aligns with cultivating a thriving, diverse community under the ethos of Growing for Good.
