Job description
Role Overview
We seek a proactive and achievement-driven sales expert to foster business expansion, nurture strong client ties, and fulfill revenue goals within the designated area. This position entails implementing commercial strategies, managing distribution networks, assuring product availability, and leading a team to enhance market reach and customer contentment.
Core Duties
- Implement the commercial plan assigned by your manager to attain targeted business outcomes for the territory.
- Guarantee the availability of appropriate products in correct quantities at the right locations and times.
- Formulate and apply growth strategies to augment market share and business footprint within the territory.
- Support and engage in channel activities, promotional efforts, and market entry plans to ensure business success.
- Oversee, monitor, and guide Market Development Officers (MDOs) performance and initiatives.
- Forge and sustain solid relationships with distributors, retailers, and major clients.
- Manage accurate forecasting, timely order processing, stock disposal, and collection procedures.
- Keep track of sales results and update commercial operations via Salesforce.com and related digital tools.
- Ensure proficient channel supervision to maintain stock supplies, rapid liquidation, and reduce sellable returns.
- Take responsibility for collections within the sales zone ensuring policy compliance and prompt customer recovery.
- Collaborate on organizational projects and fulfill additional responsibilities delegated by senior leadership.

- In-depth knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviors.
- Strong planning and time management skills for territorial management.
- Capability in problem-solving and making sound decisions.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving market conditions and customer demands.
- A customer-focused mindset coupled with a service-oriented approach.
Educational & Professional Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or related disciplines; MBA is advantageous.
- Verified experience in sales leadership and client relationship management.
- Mandatory prior involvement in the agrochemical industry.
- Expertise in managing distributors, addressing major clients, and conducting channel sales.
- Familiarity with local market trends, products, and client preferences.
- Knowledge of the regional language is preferred.
