Role Overview

As a Termite Technician, you will protect customers' properties from termite and other wood-damaging organisms. You will conduct inspections, preventive measures, and treatments to ensure customer peace of mind regarding their property protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose termite problems based on knowledge of termite behavior and habits to determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Carry out termite treatment procedures safely according to company policies and industry standards.
  • Apply anti-termite treatments to structures punctually, following safety protocols and product label instructions.
  • Advise customers on structural conditions conducive to termite activity and inform them of possible procedural or structural recommendations.
  • Ensure each work order matches proper job specifications.
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment responsibly.
  • Document all services performed through detailed production forms.
  • Engage with customers to clearly explain services rendered.

Essential Physical and Job Functions

  • Work effectively under various environmental conditions such as seasonal weather changes, damp, and dusty areas.
  • Prepare job sites for termite treatments appropriately.
  • Enter and exit multiple types of spaces including crawl spaces and structures; climb ladders and stairs.
  • Comfortably work at heights up to 20 feet and within tight, confined areas.
  • Previous experience in general labor, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutters, and attics is advantageous.
  • Regularly perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling on various surfaces and structures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) like OSHA-compliant respirators and work in confined or narrow passages consistent with termite habitats.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must maintain a clean-shaven face for proper respirator seal and safety compliance.
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver's license in your state of residence; company provides vehicles and fuel cards.
  • Minimum of one year experience in customer service; termite control experience is a plus.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
  • Be adaptable with schedule, working Monday through Friday and Saturdays as required.
  • Obtain any licenses or certifications required by federal, state, or local authorities (company covers costs).
  • Basic mathematical ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, necessary for product mixing per label directions.
