Termite Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose termite infestations by understanding termite behavior to determine necessary corrective actions.
• Perform termite treatment services safely, adhering to company procedures and regulatory standards.
• Apply anti-termite treatments precisely on structures as scheduled, following all safety protocols and label instructions.
• Educate customers about conditions conducive to termite activity and recommend supplemental procedures or structural changes.
• Ensure all job specifications align properly with work orders.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and pest control equipment efficiently.
• Document services and complete production reports accurately.
• Engage with customers professionally, explaining the treatments provided.

Essential Duties and Working Conditions

• Tolerate various environmental conditions, including seasonal weather changes and dusty or damp areas.
• Prepare treatment sites, including entry into crawl spaces and climbing ladders and roofs, requiring physical agility and comfort working at heights up to 20 feet.
• Perform physically demanding tasks involving frequent sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Wear personal protective equipment such as OSHA-compliant respirators and work in confined spaces.
• Experience in general labor, carpentry, cement work, roofing, guttering, and attic tasks is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean-shaven face for proper wearing of respiratory protection.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence; company vehicle and fuel card provided.
• At least one year of customer service experience; prior experience in termite control is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail coupled with eagerness to learn.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday and some Saturdays as needed.
• Licenses and certifications as required by federal, state, and local regulations will be covered by the company.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, necessary for accurate product mixing.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage ranges from $18.00 to $20.00, subject to geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Additional earnings potential exists through overtime, incentives, commissions, and route assignments where applicable.
