Termite Technician

About the Role

As a Termite Technician, you will be instrumental in shielding customers' properties from wood-destroying pests by performing inspections, prevention, and treatment services. This position is vital in ensuring property preservation and customer peace of mind.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose termite issues by understanding termite behavior to plan effective remediation.
• Deliver termite treatments comply with safety guidelines and company protocols.
• Apply anti-termite chemicals following schedules, safety standards, and label directions.
• Inform customers about conditions promoting termite activity and suggest treatment-related structural adjustments.
• Confirm service orders align with job specifications.
• Operate and maintain service vehicles and related equipment responsibly.
• Complete and document service records accurately.
• Engage with customers to explain services rendered.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Tolerate diverse weather conditions and work environments that may be damp or dusty.
• Prepare sites for termite treatments effectively.
• Navigate and access confined areas, climb ladders (up to 20 feet), crawl spaces, stairs, roofs, and other elevated or tight locations.
• Carry out physically demanding activities such as sitting, climbing, kneeling, and crawling frequently.
• Wear necessary personal protective equipment, including OSHA-compliant respirators.
• Experience in general labor, carpentry, roofing, cement work, gutters, and attic maintenance is advantageous.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Be clean-shaven to ensure proper respirator fit for safety.
• Hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid state driver's license (company vehicle and fuel card provided).
• Have at least one year of customer service experience; termite control experience is preferred.
• Demonstrate keen attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
• Be adaptable to work schedule including Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays.
• Obtain necessary licenses or certifications as mandated by local, state, or federal law (company covers costs).
• Basic math proficiency to follow product mixing instructions accurately.
