Job Overview
The Termination Operator role involves following precise instructions and company procedures to correctly apply termination to capacitors. This position ensures the consistent delivery of quality by operating specialized equipment and accurately documenting production data within corporate systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carefully read and interpret travelers and procedures to select correct termination types for designated capacitor parts.
- Set up and program the Chip Star machine according to specified dimensions and termination requirements.
- Manage placement of part racks through the hand termination process, adhering strictly to approved methods.
- Extract processed plates and cure them in ovens following established protocols.
- Conduct thorough inspections to verify compliance with quality and production standards.
- Precisely log production, quality metrics, and process data into manufacturing computers and databases.
- Maintain a workplace environment that is clean, well-organized, and safe.
- Adhere rigorously to all safety policies, company regulations, and procedures.
- Perform additional related tasks as delegated.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to comprehend and follow detailed work instructions, travelers, lot forms, and procedural documentation; bilingual Spanish proficiency is considered advantageous.
- Possess fundamental math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- Capacity to learn and understand manufacturing processes that are moderately complex, along with mechanical assembly and basic equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations for data entry and information retrieval in company systems.
- Strong focus on detail, dedication to quality adherence, and effectiveness in a production environment.
- Dependability in attendance, punctuality, and compliance with timekeeping policies.
- Flexibility to receive cross-training in diverse departments, processes, and job functions as necessary.
- Willingness and capability to work overtime to fulfill production schedules.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, communicate verbally, and use hands to operate tools and controls.
- Occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing, reaching, and upper body movement are expected.
- Frequent handling of lightweight materials, with occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds.
- Visual demands include close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Operation of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment may be necessary.
