Tendering Officer

Role Overview

The Tendering Officer is responsible for creating precise and competitive cost estimates for HVAC duct manufacturing projects. This involves reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project details to ensure consistency with production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings and specifications thoroughly.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs including ducts, fittings, and accessories.
• Develop accurate cost estimates encompassing raw materials such as GI, PI, MS, aluminum, stainless steel, and accessories.
• Ensure technical compliance with SMACNA standards, project specifications, and local regulatory requirements.
• Identify and highlight potential design or constructability challenges early in the process.
• Liaise closely with the production team for fabrication feasibility assessments.
• Collaborate with sales and project teams to synchronize efforts.
• Monitor deviations between estimated and actual costs.
• Continuously enhance estimation accuracy and streamline processes.
• Maintain a comprehensive repository of prior estimates for benchmarking and improvement purposes.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or HVAC Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Has 3 to 5 years of experience in HVAC duct manufacturing or estimation roles.
• Direct experience working within duct fabrication factories is essential.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel (advanced level), with familiarity in CAMDuct and CUTExpert preferred.
