Job description
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Tender Project Manager to oversee tender processes for interior fit-out projects. The role involves identifying tender opportunities, evaluating feasibility, coordinating bid preparations, and managing contract negotiations across government, private, and corporate sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and monitor potential tenders from various sectors including government and corporate.
- Analyze tender documents such as drawings, BOQs, specifications and contractual requirements.
- Evaluate project feasibility, associated risks, and commercial aspects before deciding to participate in bids.
- Draft bid qualification documents and detailed compliance reports.
- Lead quantity take-offs and cost estimations for interior fit-out projects.
- Develop comprehensive cost sheets, conduct rate analysis, and prepare project budgets.
- Source and assess quotations from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers ensuring accurate pricing and profitability.
- Coordinate with internal teams like design, procurement, finance, legal, and projects for bid inputs.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals as per tender demands within deadlines.
- Maintain tender tracking systems and submission schedules.
- Review contract terms identifying risks and assist in negotiations and finalizing agreements.
- Build and maintain vendor and stakeholder relationships, supporting business development initiatives and prequalification reviews.
- Maintain tender databases, generate reports on bid status, success ratios, and market trends while ensuring adherence to company policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management or related discipline.
- MBA or PG Diploma in Project Management is a plus.
- 8 to 15 years of relevant experience in tendering, estimation and commercial management within interior fit-out, turnkey, or construction industries.
- Demonstrable experience managing large-scale projects in the corporate, commercial, retail, hospitality or government sectors across India.
Skills and Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of interior fit-out materials, execution methods and BOQ preparation.
- Skilled in quantity surveying, cost control, and estimation practices.
- Familiarity with tendering protocols, contract administration, and procurement.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, ERP systems and estimation software.
- Strong analytical reasoning, negotiation capability and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Performance Metrics
- Volume and value of tenders submitted.
- Tender win rates and conversion ratios.
- Accuracy and compliance of cost estimations with budgets.
- Timely bid submissions.
- Profitability of awarded contracts.
- Adherence to tender and documentation standards.
