Role & Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documents comprehensively, including drawings, specifications, BOQ, scope, terms and addenda.
• Extract and quantify materials and resources accurately from project documents to prepare quantity take-offs.
• Formulate detailed cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other associated costs.
• Collect and assess vendor and subcontractor quotations while maintaining a supplier rate database.
• Develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), conduct rate analysis, prepare summary sheets, and compile final offers.
• Identify potential risks and assumptions in projects and suggest necessary clarifications or deviations.
• Adhere strictly to company standards, policies, and procedures for estimation.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to support technical proposal development.
• Conduct sensitivity analyses and apply value engineering to optimize project expenditures.
• Ensure all tender submissions are thorough, accurate, and timely.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and communications for future use.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by management as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Comprehensive understanding of cost estimation principles and methods including cost control.
• Proficiency in preparing BOQs, rate analysis, and detailed cost estimation.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual terms.
• Skilled in advanced Microsoft Excel, basic AutoCAD, and familiarity with estimation tools such as Planswift, Bluebeam, or Primavera.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• High attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy.
• Strong communication, collaboration skills, and ability to thrive under tight deadlines.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics.
