About the Role
Seymour Pacific Developments seeks a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator to work on residential construction sites in Strathmore, Alberta. This position involves operating equipment like bobcat, zoom boom/telehandler, and skid steer safely and efficiently while maintaining order on the site during unloading and storage of materials. Candidates must be prepared for physically demanding tasks and demonstrate keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance on equipment, including fluid checks, greasing, and cleaning.
- Organize and maintain site materials during storage and unloading activities.
- Operate construction equipment safely, avoiding damage to machinery, materials, or structures.
- Use zoom boom/telehandler and skid steer to lift, transport, and position materials as required.
- Support site administrators or shipping/receiving personnel by assisting with inventory counting, recording damaged or short-shipped items, and collecting packing slips or purchase orders from vendors.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in residential construction.
- Proficient operation of zoom boom/telehandler and skid steer equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards for all tasks performed.
- Physical capability and willingness to undertake labor-intensive duties.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
