Due to ongoing expansion and an increasing portfolio of Copper Network projects, Circet is seeking skilled ESIDE & DSIDE Telecom Copper Jointers to join operational teams nationwide across Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

• Execute all copper cable jointing tasks on ESIDE and DSIDE telecom networks.
• Install, maintain, repair, and test both underground and overhead copper cable infrastructure.
• Perform network fault diagnosis and service restoration between the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and Distribution Point (DP).
• Identify and resolve cable faults such as high resistance, earth faults, battery faults, contact faults, and issues related to pair quality.
• Carry out pressurisation fault detection, leak locating, and pressure maintenance activities.
• Conduct cable pair identification, testing, and validation utilizing industry-standard test equipment.
• Manage network rearrangements, diversions, recovery operations, and upgrades efficiently.
• Read and interpret technical network drawings, cable records, schematics, and engineering documents.
• Document work conducted with accurate job reports, test results, and operational records.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors, planners, engineers, and operational teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
• Adhere strictly to client specifications, telecom standards, and internal safety requirements throughout all work.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven hands-on experience as a Telecom Copper Jointer, particularly with ESIDE and DSIDE copper networks.
• Extensive knowledge of copper access network infrastructure from MDF to DP.
• Expertise in copper cable jointing, testing, fault diagnosis, and network restoration.
• Proficiency in pressurisation fault-finding and leak detection techniques.
• Skilled in the operation of telecom testing and fault-finding equipment.
• Ability to interpret and utilize cable records, network schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytic problem-solving capabilities.
• Commitment to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality protocols.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Possession of a full clean driving license.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant telecom certifications or technical qualifications are advantageous.
• Experience working with legacy copper and mixed telecom network systems.
• Background supporting network maintenance, recovery, and construction activities.
• Additional telecom industry accreditations and certifications are beneficial.
