Job description

Overview

Infosys is seeking an experienced Analog Layout Engineer to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia. In this role, you will collaborate with layout engineers and RF designers to develop detailed transistor-level layouts for RF and analog circuits including components such as bandgap, bias/LDO, ADC/DAC, baseband filters, modulators, power amplifiers, PLL, LO generation, LNA, and mixers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop transistor-level layouts of RF and analog circuit blocks.
  • Ensure layouts meet stringent quality standards to successfully pass verification processes including extraction, DRC, LVS, and DFM checks.
  • Review layout quality focusing on power and ground routing, electromigration, signal path integrity, differential and IQ matching, as well as signal coupling.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Must reside within commuting distance of Vancouver, BC or be willing to relocate; some travel within Canada may be required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution; alternatively, three years of progressive experience may substitute per year of education.
  • Minimum of 4 years IT experience with at least 5 years specifically in custom RF/analog layout in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
  • Expertise in FinFET technologies at N5/N3/N2 nodes or more advanced.
  • Advanced proficiency with CALIBRE tools for DRC, ERC, and LVS analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with CADENCE layout tools such as Virtuoso Layout XL.
  • Strong knowledge of layout strategies for device matching, parasitic minimization, RF shielding, and high-frequency routing.
  • Understanding of RC delay, electromigration, coupling effects, guard rings, DNW, PN junctions, and complex process-related phenomena like LOD and WPE.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with design teams.

Additional Details

  • The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
  • Effective communication via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions is essential.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position in British Columbia is between 90,450 and 136,500 CAD.
